Our client, an international investment manager, is looking for a Financial Accountant for a 6 to 9 months temporary contract for its Luxembourg office.

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records for legal entities and will be in charge of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of accounts.
Additionally, he/she will handle external reporting to headquarters, regulators and government authorities.

The candidate will perform balance sheet reconciliations, support the Group Tax team in meeting tax compliance requirements by country and entity. Furthermore, you will provide financial data and analysis to support business decision-making, acting as the liaison for all third-party matters, including auditors and tax consultants. The ideal candidate has at least 2–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing, with a solid understanding of local GAAP and IFRS. Strong proficiency in Excel is essential with experience using ORACLE or SAP. Fluency in English is mandatory, good knowledge of French is a strong asset.

Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers are necessary, along with excellent organisational abilities to provide timely and accurate financial commentary.
